Paco Biet is a DJ duo run by Stefan Dietze (currently Cambridge, UK) and Rico Wagner (Berlin, Germany) since the early 90’s. Our sound might best be described as a rather unique combination of Ambient, experimental Elektronica, Dub(step), and Deep House. Back then, people did tend to call that “chillout”. In short, we like to play our favorite music without caring much about any genre constraints and hope to surprise people in the best possible ways.
Our gigs became pretty rare recently, mainly due to our other activities, but as well due to the fact that the current club culture does not seem to reserve much space for sounds beyond the predominant 4-to-the-floor business. Thus, the old fashioned “chillout” area became a rare sight throughout the last decade(s).
But: we are working on it.
